EXTRUDEX is presenting it's revolutionary HELIBAR® single screw extruder system, basing on an extruder barrel with a heliconally grooved feeding section and an axial or also heliconally grooved plastification cylinder in combination with an especially designed barrier type screw with shearing an mixing sections.

Compared with conventional single screw extruder concepts with smooth cylinder the Helibar® system offers impressive advantages in terms of:

The HELIBAR® advantages in brief:

Optimized pressure build up and material conveying

additional force feeding through the grooves

lower partial pressure along barrel and screw

Lower pressure in the solid's channel

Processing of "wall-sliding" thermoplastics improved

Shorter residence time due to high throughput and low volume in the processing unit

Pressure along the barrel: At the same operating pressure the HELIBAR®-System is characterized by a much lower pressure level along the processing unit compared to an extruder with smooth barrel.

blow molding applications (Over 150 extrusion units are in duty for this purpose during a period of 3 years!)
injection molding processes
effective processing of wall sliding thermoplastics
